If we’re planning to buy a home very soon, what should we do to prepare for the best possible outcome?

The first step is to get pre-qualified for a loan by one of Aloha Pacific FCU’s mortgage loan officers. By getting pre-qualified, you’ll be able to set a budget for your home purchase and know exactly what your monthly payments will be. Getting pre-qualified is easy and can be done over the phone. If we’re planning to buy a home in five years, how should we prepare?

If you’re not ready to buy right now, work on improving your financial profile: Build your credit rating by paying off your credit cards on time. If you don’t have a credit card, apply for one and pay off the full amount with each statement. Try to put some money away each month for your down payment as well. It’s also never too early to speak to a Realtor to track the market and find the perfect neighborhood for you and your family. I’d be happy to help you.

If you’re planning to sell your home, I can provide you with a comparative market analysis to help determine an asking price. By analyzing the recently sold homes in your neighborhood and your home’s condition, we’ll set a price to get you the most money in the least amount of time.
