Hawaii Association Of Realtors Announces Realtor Of The Year
The 8,900-member Hawaii Association of Realtors (HAR) has named Jim O’Connor (R) 2009 Realtor of the Year.
The 30-year veteran of the real estate industry is owner and Principal Broker of Kauai-based O’Connor Realty LLC and president of the development firm, The O’Connor Corporation.
He is shown in the photo at the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Conference and Expo held in San Diego in November where he was honored along with 49 other Realtor of the Year designees.
A committee of past award recipients selects the Realtor of the Year based on professional achievements and contributions to the real estate profession and community.
O’Connor is a past president of the Hawaii Association of Realtors and the Kauai Board of Realtors and a national director of NAR.
The Hawaii Association of Realtors is one of the largest trade associations in the state and a member organization of the National Association of Realtors with 1.2 million members. HAR is the umbrella organization of member Boards of Realtors, including the Honolulu Board, the Realtors Association of Maui, the Kauai Board, the Hawaii Island Board, the Kona Board, and the Molokai Board. Realtor is a licensed collective membership mark that can be used only by members of NAR and its state associations and local boards.
