The panoramic view from Na Pali Haweo embraces mountains, valleys, East Oahu coastline, Koko Head, majestic Koko Crater, Diamond Head in the distance, and Hawaii Kai just below. The subdivision of large lots and upscale homes, extending up Kamehame Ridge to an altitude of 700 feet, was designed by the developer to maximize and preserve view channels for its nearly 200 projected residences.

Madden recently listed an estate at 1336 Kamehame Drive at $3,200,000 and noted that, when it closes next week, it will be the second highest sale recorded to date and the highest in the past 10 years for the neighborhood. The 4,566 square foot, two story home with 692 square feet of outdoor lanais is situated on a 32,249 square foot rim lot.

“The home is very private and perfectly oriented for the spectacular southwesterly views over Hawaii Kai, the ocean, and Diamond Head…the night views are enchanting,” Madden said. “The home is on the last lot on the main drive. The owner also bought an adjacent vacant lot to create a unique hilltop retreat. Another new home could be built on the lower lot.”

“There are currently six homes for sale in Na Pali Haweo ranging in price from $1,635,000 to $3,280,000,” Madden noted. “There have been 10 sales in the last two years ranging in price from $1,025,000 to $2,175,000. Above Na Pali Haweo is a 16 plus acre parcel of vacant land listed for $12,000,000.”

Numerous recreational facilities within a few minutes drive of Na Pali Haweo include the Hawaii Kai golf courses, club house, and restaurant, Koko Head District Park with night-lighted tennis courts, recreation center, and playground, Kamiloiki Park, Koko Crater Botanical Gardens, Koko Head Shooting Complex, Hanauma Bay Beach Park, Sandy Beach Park, Koko Crater Equestrian Center, and miles of hiking and riding trails. It’s a short drive down the hill to the malls of Hawaii Kai.
