The Collection condominium community located in the ewa end of Kakaako is unique among new developments in the area with its three distinct home styles offering a variety of options for urban living. All increments have been well received by the market.

The Tower at The Collection, a 43-story high-rise with 397 units, and The Lofts at The Collection, a four-story mid-rise with 54 units, are sold out. The last increment, The Townhomes at The Collection, is currently on the market with a limited number of units remaining.

Scheduled for completion in November, the townhome development consists of 14 three-story units, each with three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a den, rooftop deck, attached private garage and private entrance; prices range from $1,695,000 to $1,795,000.

The developer, The Collection LLC, a subsidiary of A&B Properties Inc., put together a blue ribbon team for The Townhomes: general contractor Coastal Construction Co. Inc., architects Pappageorge Haymes Partners and Design Partners Inc., interior designer Phil-potts Interiors, landscape architect Brownlie & Lee, construction manager Griffith Consulting Group Inc., and project broker Heyer & Associates LLC.

The units are spacious with 1,835 to 1,895 interior square feet augmented by private rooftop decks ranging from 560 to 593 square feet. Features include a landscaped front yard, two-car garage on the ground level that connects directly to each residence, a ground-floor den, contemporary-design kitchens with top-of-the-line appliances and both gas and electric for cooking, and luxurious bathrooms with high-quality fixtures, wood cabinetry and custom showers, as well as a full-size soaking tub in the master bathroom.

The rooftop terrace, an ideal space for entertaining, is equipped with electric and gas stub-outs for barbecue grills and hot tubs, wood decking, a trellis for vined plants and a connecting indoor wet-bar space with under-counter refrigerator and an ice maker. The complex also is pet-friendly.

The Townhomes are planned for energy efficiency with multi-zone split air-conditioning and sub-metered electricity. Residents pay for only the electricity they use, and maintenance fees, starting at $631 a month, are comparatively low for a new, upscale condominium.
