As Americans, we are facing and living through some unprecedented and challenging economic times. And for many of us, the financial decisions we make today will have far-reaching impacts on the security and well-being of ourselves and our families in the years to come.

You’ve heard it said, probably many times, that taking out a mortgage loan to buy a home is typically the biggest financial decision most Americans will make in their lifetime. This is especially the case in Hawaii where the average price of real property is one of the highest in the nation.
