Phase 2 of KA MALANAI CONDOS to close out sales
Thirty of the 60 one-, twoand three-bedroom residences that constitute Phase 2 of the project will be offered for sale to owner-occupants only on a first-come/ first-served basis. These units, located in Building 7, are priced from $611,240 and will fulfill the owner-occupant requirement. The remaining 30 units, located in Building 8, will go on the market in January.
Both buildings are being constructed simultaneously and will be completed in late summer of 2017. Each building will include 30 residences — six with one bedroom, 10 with three bedrooms and the remaining 44 with two bedrooms. All residences will have assigned parking spaces: two for the twoand three-bedroom units, one for the one-bedroom units.
The eight buildings in the new condominium development, D.R. Horton-Schuler’s first in Kailua, are four-story, U-shaped structures sited around landscaped interior courtyards. Parking is at ground level. The units offer quality finishes and fixtures, such as wood cabinets, solid surface countertops, ceramic tile and carpeted floors, contemporary GE appliances, bathrooms with separate tubs and showers, central air conditioning, and large windows and sliding glass doors to admit natural light and ventilation. All units have lanais.

“Many of the homeowners have Kailua family ties,” Flood continued. “We have sold to retirees returning to the neighborhood to be near their grandchildren and to young professionals moving to Ka Malanai to be near Mom and Dad. The draw, of course, continues to be the location. Residents can walk to downtown Kailua for shopping and dining. The new buildings are the closest to Kailua Beach, which also is within walking distance. Right across the street is Kailua District Park with an Olympic-size swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, a ball field and gym.”
Flood noted that D.R. Horton-Schuler Homes improved the road between the condominium complex and the park and buried power lines underground, which has enhanced the appearance of the entire neighborhood.
