At One Kalakaua Senior Living, Honolulu’s only fee simple Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), seniors have the option to rent or own in a friendly, secure ohana atmosphere with top notch amenities.

Currently, two bedroom/one bath and two bedroom/two bath units are available for purchase or rent with rent-to-own options.

A limited number of two bedroom/two bath units are for sale starting at $575,000 Fee Simple. Rental rates for two bedroom/two bath units begin at $5,000 a month. Two bedroom/one bath unit prices start at $545,000 Fee Simple; rental rates for a two bedroom/one bath start at $4,500 a month.

House rules require that major modifications, such as removal or relocation of walls, utilities, or appliances, be submitted to the building maintenance chief and the Board of Directors for review and approval prior to the commencement of work.


Guest parking stalls are located on the main entry level off Young Street. An assigned, secured underground parking stall is deeded to each unit. Owners who desire additional storage space may install a locker near their parking stall or in another assigned garage area. Residents who don’t use their parking stalls may rent them to other OKSL residents or employees.

Dr. Albert Yazawa of Straub Clinic holds a weekly medical clinic and a chiropractor, optometrist, audiologist, holistic doctor, dentist and other health professionals make periodic visits. The staff includes a full time activities director and exercise therapist. Exercise classes, including water aerobics in our heated pool, tai-chi, and qigong are offered. Friday Pau Hana parties, musical events, recitals, and lectures provide social opportunities for those who choose to participate.
