At Veterans United Home Loans of Hawaii, VA Loans are only part of our story. We take a three-part approach to serving those who have served – through education, giving back, and VA Loans.

Like many veterans, Tony Dias, Veterans United of Hawaii Manager, was unaware of the benefits he earned after serving in the United States Marine Corps. It wasn’t until he entered the mortgage industry in 2003 that he fully understood the enormous benefits of this program.

After months of education, Tony realized that he could pass along all the valuable information he had obtained to other eligible veterans and service members by providing free monthly seminars about the VA benefit and how to qualify for it.

The second part of Veterans United’s approach to serving our nation’s heroes is giving back in the form of the Veterans United Foundation. In 2011, Veterans United proudly started Veterans United Foundation – a nonprofit charitable organization funded and driven by the over 1,300 employees of Veterans United Home Loans nationwide. Today, the foundation works to enhance the lives of military veterans and their families by partnering and supporting key organizations.

In the past year, the Veterans United Foundation has teamed up with the Honolulu Armed Services YMCA, AUSA (Association of the United States Army) Hawaii, Honolulu Navy League, and US Vets Inc. Additionally, in the summer of 2012, Veterans United joined forces with the top five senior enlisted leaders of each military branch: Frederick Finch -US Air Force, James Herdt – US Navy, Alford L. McMichael – US Marine Corps, Vincent Patton III – US Coast Guard, and Jack Tilley – US Army. These five men travel across the country to increase awareness of important issues in the armed forces, including veterans unemployment and VA Loan benefits.

Lastly, Veterans United of Hawaii completes their story by ensuring that military home-buyers have access to one of the most powerful lending options on the market. Through the VA Loan, eligible borrowers can take part in zero money down, 100 percent financing, no private mortgage insurance, and amazing refinancing options.

For more information on Tony’s VA Loan seminars, how Veterans United is involved in the community, and how to take advantage of the VA home loan program, contact Veterans United Home Loans of Hawaii at 677-LOAN (5626). There is no cost for a private consultation.

“You’ve served our country. Now let us serve you.”

-Aloha, Tony Dias
